Marc Reiss was born in New York on June 18, 1962. He was a father to Shayne Reiss and Samantha Reiss and husband to Miriam Reiss for 29 years. Everyone remembers him for being a bro and being a positive person. Most people in New Paltz could hear him coming a mile a way blasting Michael Franti and Spearhead down Main Street and walking around barefoot. Marc was an open pot smoker, a gay rights activist, and a big influence in a lot of people's lives. His life was nature, hiking, beaches, and music. He is survived by his two children Shayne and Samantha, by his ex-wife Miriam, his mother Renee Reiss, and by his sisters.
